travel cot mattress is hard for my 3month old baby, what can i do?
The mattress that came with the travel cot, seems really hard for my 3 month old baby - is their anything that anybody would suggest?
WHY IS TH EBABY SLEEPING ON A TRAVEL COT. ANY WAYS WHAT I HAVE DONE WHEN TAKING WYATT TO HIS GRAND PARENTS IS TAKEN THE BABY CHAGING TABLE PAD TO SLEEP ON HE LOVES IT AND IT IS VERY COMFY TO HIM AND IT STOPS HIM FROM ROLLING OVER OR OFF IT. SO ITS SAVE ON THE COUCH AS WELL.. HOPE THIS HELPS HAVE A WONDERFUL DAYIt may seem uncomfortable to you, but is it uncomfortable for him? Babies need to sleep on very firm mattresses.....unless he seems to have a problem with it, then I really wouldn't worry. We used to babysit my nephew often and used a 'Pac-n-play' for him to sleep in. We bought a thick piece of foam like you would use to re-upholster a chair (you can get it at craft stores) and cut it to size (actually, in our case, we had to fit two smaller pieces together to make it big enough). Then just use a regular crib sheet to cover the foam. You will need to tuck the excess cloth under the pad. Just be careful that the pad fits VERY snugly in the playpen so that the child doesn't get their head stuck in the crack.it should be fine! its bad for babis back to be sleeping on really soft mattresses! its fine if it comes with the cot, its been tested and proven safe and comfy enough for your baby! dont worry he/she will be comfy!!!
mum to 3 yr old, 2 yr old & 14 week oldI believe it is supposed to be hard so that it does not deform when your baby in there, to avoid suffocation. The firmer the better, don't worry, your baby will be fine.
